The vessel, which weighs 650t and measures 44.5m in length, recently slipped from its keel supports and rolled onto its starboard side during relaunching operations.
As the number of operating wind farms in South Africa increases, so is the demand for a quality repair and maintenance service.
Vanguard were required to battle extreme weather conditions to successfully complete the relocation of a 650t ex South African Navy submarine.
The SAS Assegaai, which was decommissioned in 2003, was required to be transported 1.5km from the Navy Dockyard to the new Naval Heritage Site in Simons Town.
