Vanguard recently installed a rail tippler in the Western Cape of South Africa. The enormity of the size was one thing, measuring 20m long and 11m wide, but the tolerance posed the biggest hurdle – less than 1mm overall!
The Vanguard on site team utilized a hydraulic gantry system to move the 300ton tippler 44m before installing and thanks to careful and precise planning the team managed to complete the entire job, including a full dry run in under 2 days. Precise logistics engineering at its very best.
